A bit of tradition

Tonight is the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice. In Korea, according to tradition, this is the night that ghosts and goblins have the biggest potential of coming out.

There is a way to ward off these frightful things, though. The evening terrors are scared of red, so you are supposed to eat red-bean soup.

I am eating red-bean soup for dinner, as I type this. I’m also eating a salad with tons of tomatoes, because tomatoes are red.

I’m safe for tonight.

  • So is this their halloween? are there decorations and other such fun stuff or just the eating of the beans? I’m glad to hear that you’re safe. p.s. your server is laggging lately, what’s up with that.

  • This server is a jerk.

It’s not really Halloween as much as it’s just a damn long night with red bean soup.
