I gave myself a small practice project to do on some film editing, and I like the results. Using my new software, I wanted to speed up and slow down an unedited, one-shot fight scene from a Thai film, focusing on all of the action. And, of course, I put it to some music.
It took me about two hours to complete, with another hour and a half to render it all, and it’s only 3 minutes and 45 seconds worth of footage. The quality of the video is so poor because the source file was an .flv from youtube, so you see a lot of blocky pixels being warped. So, without further ado, Thai Fight Scene, Victory Manual style!
And here is the original, unedited version:

could use better compression before being sent to youtube, but cool! Isn’t this a Thai movie though? Maybe I am thinking of something else…

It could be. The clip is always titled “Chinese” when I see it on the internet, but when you freeze frame it in the beginning there’s a sign that reads, “Touch of the real Thai.”

It’s from the White Stripes new album, “Icky Thump”. I haven’t really been able to get into The Raconteurs. Nothing about the band catches me like White Stripes do.

You never know how much you need something until you don’t have it anymore. Like deodorant.
