I found a video of Typhoon Nari here on Jeju taken by what sounds to be an Australian. He had a lot more time than me, and a camera that shoots proper video, so have a look at it and see the sort of damage we experienced.
Before you watch, keep in mind that there are no rivers on Jeju island. Spring, summer, winter, or autumn, there are no flowing streams at all anywhere on the island. According to locals, this is the biggest typhoon to hit within the past half century.

Holy crap!
We were warned repeatedly about the typhoon in Shanghai, eventually all we got was heavy rain.

Dang, man. I want to watch, but I can’t until the computer is back. Look forward to comments on basically all your recent video posts when I get it… Sigh.

Maxiewawa: You have an exciting name. I’m glad to hear the typhoon didn’t hit you. The worst and, simultaneously, most boring part of it was the six hours with no electricity. Not only was I stuck at home, I was stuck at home with no entertainment.
Deas: Hah, you’ll have like 30 minutes of footage just from the videos I’ve posted since you sent off your computer.
