I’ve been browsing, comparing the prices of, and poring over the details of sites like shopping.yahoo.co.jp, amazon.co.jp, and yamada-denkiweb.com, trying to find the cheapest way to stock a house with all the necessities for daily living in a household of three.
Of course, there’s always 中古 (used), but you can’t really judge the goods unless you’re there in person. On top of that, there’s also the cost of an apartment to consider; 礼金 (”key money”)、敷金 (security deposit)、家賃 (rent).
It’s hard to determine which is the cheapest/most convenient route - Buying from a chain store during a sale, or buying online but paying for shipping (up to 2,100円).

I know there’s a huge one in Osaka. That’s a little far, though.
