It’s best to forgive, but never forget.
That’s, perhaps, one of the best traits of the culture I was raised in - Our stubborn insistance on remembering the past, but always expressing gratitude for our current lot in life.
(Note: “The culture I was raised in,” does not refer to the U.S.)

But you’ve just killed him again by telling me! See, now I know and I’ll be prepared, and when that day comes you won’t be able to kill me and steal my time machine to go back and save Kennedy.
Claytonian killed Kennedy…
…from the future.
Anyways, I forgive you, but I’ll never forget.
